Juilliard grad Natalie Haas is one of the most sought after cellists in traditional music today. She and Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser have toured as a duo for over 18 years, wowing audiences at festivals and concerts worldwide with their unique sound. Natalie has also toured with Mark O'Connor as a member of his Appalachia Waltz Trio. As a studio musician, Natalie has been a guest artist on over 50 albums, including those of Cape Breton fiddler Natalie MacMaster, Irish greats Altan, Solas, and Liz Carroll, and Americana icon Dirk Powell. She is an associate professor at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Hope you all had a lovely holiday and some much-needed down time with family & friends...I know I did! Alasdair and I are about to get back on the road, ready to make some new music.
Exciting new projects coming up this year -- special collaboration at Celtic Connections with some of my favorite gals from Boston & Scotland, the Haas Sisters goes to Ireland in early May, and DuoDuo with Yann Falquet, Nic Gareiss, and Maeve Gilchrist makes a return trip to New England in May and early June.
Hope to see you on the road! Stay warm!
