Juilliard grad Natalie Haas is one of the most sought after cellists in traditional music today. She and Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser have toured as a duo for twenty years, wowing audiences at festivals and concerts worldwide with their unique sound. Natalie has also toured with Mark O'Connor as a member of his Appalachia Waltz Trio. As a studio musician, Natalie has been a guest artist on over 50 albums, including those of Cape Breton fiddler Natalie MacMaster, Irish greats Altan, Solas, and Liz Carroll, and Americana icon Dirk Powell. She is an associate professor at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
HAPPY SPRING! (ALMOST)!
It has been a very busy 2019 so far! After an amazing week at Celtic Connections, tours on the west coast, southeast, and midwest with Alasdair, my teaching responsibilities, and several guest appearances with some of my favorite fiddle bands (Nordic Fiddlers Bloc, Fru Skagerrak, and the Hanneke Cassel Trio, to name a few!), I'm all geared up for spring! Coming up: more touring with Alasdair as per usual, a very special weekend with Brittany Haas & Yann Falquet in April, and a big DuoDuo tour in May. Then it's FIDDLE CAMP TIME!!! I'll be at all of Alasdair's camps, and also joining the faculty at Berklee Global Strings Intensive, Festival of American Fiddle Tunes, and the Mike Block String Camp. Sign up now!
All the best, Natalie
