Welcome to my new site!

G'day mate! Alasdair and I had a fantastic month in Australia in March, still on a big high! Coming up in April and May: a weekend with the Northwest Scottish Fiddlers on beautiful Whidbey Island, getting my fiddle camp fix at Big Sur Fiddle Camp, and an album release tour of the Northeast  with Laura Cortese's Acoustic Project. Then Alasdair and I are headed off to the UK at the beginning of May, and at the end of May I will be making my first return foray in many years back into the classical genre with a recital in NYC of chamber music led by the amazing JoAnna Farrer. Alasdair and I are still hard at work on our next CD and hoping to have it out by the end of the summer...looking forward to putting the finishing touches on it over the next few months!

Hope to see you on the road!

-Natalie

    • I just heard your and Alasdair Fraser's beautiful recording of Josefin's Waltz. I cannot think of a more beautiful sound. Do you know where I might find sheet music for the Cello harmony? I can transpose the violin part, but that is just a bit of the equation....

      thank you! jim kc5gwu@gmail.com

    • Such a privilege to see and hear you and Alasdair play, both at Port Fairy and the National Folk Festival, especially the impromptu acoustic gig you did at St Pats Hall, Port Fairy. I was sitting in the front row, about 3 feet from you... such a buzz!!! still haven't wiped the smile off my face hope you can come back to Aus soon!

    • Hi Natalie - SO loved your playing with Alisdair at the National. My friend Nicole said hello from us all and gave you our new CD (made with the 2013 Fellowship funding from the Festival and the National Library)- the Fiddle Music of Joe Yates. It would be great to hear what you think of it and useful for our promotion, if you liked the old time music and don't mind being quoted. I hope your travels are going well. Are you up around Brisbane at all? Email address is ovendencath@gmail.com regards Cath Ovenden

    • A big thankyou to you and Alasdair, not just for your incredibly exciting music and great company, but also for your enthusiastic support of all levels of the Scottish music scene here. You have rekindled great Scottish passion! So, à la prochaine...!

    • Thanks for your wonderful concerts with Alasdair at the National Folk Festval and the Natioal Library. Hope we see you again soon.

    • Hi Natalie and Alisdair, It was great to see and hear you both perform at the Port Fairy Folk Festival last weekend. My appreciation of your performances was heightened by attending your workshop. Best wishes.

Regards Robert Allan - Ballarat Victoria Australia

    • My wife Jami and I absolutely love you and Alasdair and your music. We first heard you at the Scotish fest. in Bridgeport, WV and we have bought your music and followed you since. We recently saw you in Maryland at the Fiddler's Fest, but we would have preferred that it had offered more of the two of you. We wish the two of you all the best and please come back to West Virginia.

    • Hi Natalie,

I met you recently at the great Fiddler's Feast show at Sellersville Theater where you signed my Solas Shamrock city CD.

      Have fun in Australia!

Safe travels and I'll see you next time, Fred

    • Hello Natalie, I just wrote you a message on Facebook which I hope finds you. Wondering if you might like to be one of our guests for the 12 Annual "Cello Daze" in the Fall of 2013. All the best! Tony

    • Natalie, I am interested in any sheet music for the cello part of "Josefin's Waltz". I am using this piece for a family music group with my brother-in-law on cello, my wife on flute, my ex-wife on violin and myself on guitar and our daughter enjoying the whole idea immensely. Thanks, Gil joyrygil@aol.com
